Update in City of Marion's Response to COVID-19
As the situation with COVID-19 is ever evolving and new information is continually being provided through our local Emergency Management Agency, Marion Public Health, the Ohio Department of Health and the office of Governor DeWine, the following changes are being enacted by the Mayor for the City of Marion:
- As of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice. Contact the Marion Municipal Court Office at 740-387-2020 option 1 or Misdemeanor Probation at 740-387-2020 option 2 to obtain hours of operation for either of these offices.
- The City Sanitation and Streets Department will not collect yard waste at curbside until further notice. Residents may take grass clippings and yard waste materials, free of charge, to Outdoor Resource Supply (formerly Park Enterprise), which is located at 560 Barks Rd. W. (between S. Prospect St./Rt. 4 S. and the Barks Rd. overpass). Contact Outdoor Resource Supply at 740-223-7275 for additional information on acceptance program or for hours of operation.
- Residents are reminded that they may pay their utility bill online (https://www.marionohio.us/online-utility-payment), through the mail, by automatic bank draft, or by dropping their payment in the locking drop box between the two front doors of City Hall.
- Residents are reminded that they may pay their city income tax online (https://www.marionohio.us/online-tax-payments), through the mail, or by dropping their forms and payment in the locking drop box between the two front doors of City Hall.
Please note, if circumstances change and conditions are warranted, modifications will be made to the services provided by the City of Marion. If this occurs, information will be relayed to the media and shared on the City of Marion website.
