Note: The Mt. Vernon Ave case may prompt the question of when and if Accessory Dwelling units might be desirable. If so, the City Planning Commission can draft their own suggestion for zoning language and propose it to Council for consideration. Attached is the existing code portions related to residential permitted uses, minimum lot sizes and minimum house size. AARP had a nice booklet that discusses various types of accessory dwelling units which might be handy for starting this conversation.
