1.  Kensington Place Study – (Recommendation- Stop Sign Placement at Kensignton and Church Street)

  • Kensington Place and Indian Ave – (Two Lanes Studied) The study showed a 10 MPH variance and an 85 percentile of speed at 35 MPH; the average operating speed.  Enforcement Tolerance is Medium.  Design Speed is above 25 MPH as well. A stop sign is not warranted at this location.
  • Kensington Place and Church Street – The study showed a 10 MPH variance and an 85 percentile of speed at 35 MPH. Enforcement Tolerance is High.  Design speed is above 25 MPH as well. After connecting with the Safety Director this has been an area of speeding for enforcement watch for some time.  A stop sign could be placed here.

2.  Wilson Ave & Lincoln Ave (Recommendation- No Stop Sign Be Placed)

Two studies were completed. Both yielded an 85 percentile of speed at 27 mph.  The Enforcement Rating at both study locations is low. Design speed is above 25 MPH as well.
